Let’s clean the earth and make a park a lot better for everyone. This Saturday, OBAB and the Coos Bay Parks department will help Beautify John Topits Park. There will be volunteers there working on picking up litter, doing ivy removal, cleaning out homeless camps, repairing benches and painting if the weather permits. There will be many projects available for different safety and comfort levels. If you would like to volunteer your time and help clean the park, please wear gloves and bring loppers or clippers, trash grabbers, water and sunscreen if you can. If you have a leaf blower or kayak, there are opportunities to help clean the shore or water edge as well. If there are any youth ages 14 and under, will need adult supervision. Youth 15 and up can participate with a release form signed by a parent or guardian. All sign in will start at 12:30 pm, clean up goes from 1pm till 3pm.
